History Of Bhudargad Fort
This fort is near Bhudargad, Pushpanagar city; This fort was built by King Bhoj II (Shilahar dynasty). The characteristic move of this fort is that the vision has improved in all the four titles.
In 1667, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj captured the fort and repaired it using the officer's camp. He was then captured by the Mughals. About five years later, the fort was recaptured and is still housed in the Bhairav Sanctuary, showing the true colors of the Mughal general killed in the encounter.
At the end of the eighteenth century, Parashurampant Bhau Patwardhan took control of the fort for about ten years after influencing the army and capturing the state of Kolhapur. In the same vein, Ichalkaranji's chief Parashurampant Bhau and Gopalpant Apte made some futile attempts to win again. During the war, five villas once found around the fort were destroyed. In 1844, Bhudargad and Samangad forces revolted and closed their entrances.
On 13 October 1844, Bhudargad was captured by the British and destroyed by General Delamote. There are some attractions near the fort, Dudhsagar Lake, two Shiva temples and a Bhairav temple.
